Grandmama's Quilt

The quilt is a staple in the black community that I am starting to really dive into. Pieces together woven with love, for purpose, for utility. The quilt served as a cover and as a guide. It served as a gift and a decoration. The stitches were a form of writing. These earrings are simple and but powerful because they represent the bonds women in the south chose to form. Power and craftsmanship within something that is easily disregarded as women's work. 

These are beautiful earrings. Very light weight
