Jacob’s Ladder

These earrings are a visual of the song we used to sing- we are climbing Jacob’s ladder. It represents the everyday struggle of growth, the struggle of moving forward and persevering. And not just toward the higher calling of heaven, but my higher calling on earth. I think of my great-great-grandmother and the women of that time. Getting up and pushing through all the ills of the world and still being mothers and caretakers. It is a constant journey.

These are both minimalistic and statement at the same time. Very lightweight.
